Love Food Hate Waste Campaign 2015

Love Food Hate Waste

-World Food Day - 16th October 2015 -

With the aim of increasing awareness of the global problem of food waste and poverty, Food For Thought had linked with Meat Free Monday, FareShare and Love Food Hate Waste to engage with pupils and adults about this cause.

FFT encouraged the children to design a poster to highlight the issue of reducing food waste and the impact it has on the world, and some of the entries were outstanding, with the children clearly understanding how very important it is not to waste the food that some people are very lucky to have.

Additionally, FFT have sold special wristbands for 50p with all proceeds going to FareShare.

FFT would like to thank all of the children, teachers and other adults who have been involved in this very important project, raising awareness of the issues faced by millions every day all over the world.  The standard of the art was excellent and the wining designs are going to be professionally made into large posters as a montage to be displayed in school dining rooms.

Well done
